An Alumni Story

Hi. I'm Corey Thompson, CEO of WattGlass, and I graduated from the Micro AP program in 2013. I felt like during my course of study that I had a really good relationship with my professors and was easily able to integrate with cutting edge research that they were working on. So as a graduate student, that exposure is something that I don't think you get at a lot of universities. I think the main takeaway from my degree was the ability to communicate what we're doing in a technology space to the business space. Really learned the framework that I built a company out of all while gaining credits that went towards earning my degree. There's a lot going on in our area. The growth is rapid, particularly in the technology space. You can plug-in to a company here and start creating value even as a student.

Hola. Soy Corey Thompson, CEO de WattGlass, y me gradué en el programa Micro AP en 2013. Durante mis estudios, sentí que tenía una muy buena relación con mis profesores y que podía integrarme fácilmente en la investigación de vanguardia en la que estaban trabajando. Como estudiante de posgrado, esa exposición es algo que no creo que se consiga en muchas universidades. Creo que lo más importante que aprendí en mis estudios fue la capacidad de comunicar lo que estamos haciendo en un espacio tecnológico al espacio empresarial. Aprendí realmente el marco en el que construí una empresa, al mismo tiempo que obtuve créditos que me sirvieron para obtener mi título. Están ocurriendo muchas cosas en nuestro sector. El crecimiento es rápido, especialmente en el ámbito tecnológico. Se puede entrar en una empresa aquí y empezar a crear valor incluso siendo estudiante.
