I came to the University of Arkansas because I really wanted to be in a place where it felt big, but it felt like home. The University of Arkansas offers around 200 programs for students to choose from in very different areas, and we are research one University. I engage in advocacy of programs to make underrepresented students feel included, and this is a University that fosters that. It's really important to build a better world here at the University of Arkansas. That's one of our goals. We have six interdisciplinary degree programs that bring faculty from all across campus. Research is a very important part, and students are completely involved in that. Both undergraduate students and graduate students. They were all really passionate about what they did. They loved the research that they were doing. They loved teaching students. They loved mentoring. And that was so important to me. I think this is absolutely the place that I'm supposed to be.

Vine a la Universidad de Arkansas porque quería estar en un sitio grande pero sentirme como en casa. La Universidad de Arkandas ofrece alrededor de 200 programas para que los estudiantes elijan en áreas muy diferentes, y somos una universidad dedicada a la investigación. Me dedico a promover programas para que los estudiantes infrarrepresentados se sientan incluidos, y esta es una universidad que lo fomenta. Es realmente importante construir un mundo mejor aquí en la Universidad de Arkansas. Ese es uno de nuestros objetivos. Tenemos seis programas de grado interdisciplinarios que reúnen a profesores de todo el campus. La investigación es una parte muy importante, y los estudiantes están completamente involucrados en ella. Tanto los estudiantes de grado como los de posgrado. A todos les apasiona lo que hacen.
